American talents Hayes and Jenkins commit to Bulldogs

Hamilton, ON – The Hamilton Bulldogs are pleased to announce that American prospects Frank Jenkins and Avery Hayes have committed to the team and entered into standard players agreements.

Jenkins was taken by the Bulldogs in the fifth round (98th overall) in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection. The 6-foot-2, 200Ib. defenceman played in 19 games with the Detroit HoneyBaked 15U club last season, recording five goals, three assists and eight points.

President and General Manager Steve Staios says they’re very excited to have received a commitment from Jenkins. “He is a player with an immense amount of potential,” says Staios. “Bulldogs fans will enjoy watching Frank grow within our organization.”

Hayes was the Bulldogs sixth round (118th overall) selection this past April from the Detroit Honeybaked 16U team. The 5-foot-9, 160Ib. right-winger appeared in 50 games, recording 22 goals and 23 assists for 55 points.

Staios says the organization is thrilled to have received a commitment from Hayes. “He has a tremendous skill set and ability to make plays,” he noted.
