Attack Fans Help Raise Over $1000 For Salvation Army Food Bank With Bardown

Owen Sound, ON – Owen Sound Attack fans helped raise over $1000 as part of the Puck The Virus campaign with Bardown Hockey this summer.

Owen Sound Attack Manager of Marketing & Communications Greg Hoddinott recently presented a cheque for $1160 to the Owen Sound Salvation Army Food Bank. T-shirts and sweaters were available for purchase online with proceeds going to support the food bank.

Hoddinott says: “We are thrilled with the support from our fans and from Bardown. The campaign was a huge success and the money raised is going to a great organization. It wouldn’t have been possible without our fans.” He adds: “Bardown has been a great partner of ours and we were excited to work with them to help the community.”

Alice Wannan, coordinator for the Owen Sound Salvation Army says the donation will help the food bank support the community. One of the main goals will be to ensure that students in need who are starting school again soon will have healthy snacks.
