Cole Ceci Commits to Bulldogs

Hamilton Bulldogs

HAMILTON, ON – Hamilton Bulldogs President and General Manager Steve Staios announced today that the club has signed 2014 10th round selection, goaltender Cole Ceci to a Standard Players Agreement.

Ceci, 18, spent last season with the Bulldogs’ affiliate, the Ancaster Avalanche.  In 32 regular season games he posted a 2.57 goals-against average, and a .921 save percentage.  Ceci also appeared in 10 playoff games, including an 85-save performance against St. Catharines.

“Cole is the type of player and person that we covet for the Hamilton Bulldogs.  He is a tremendous person, and has a relentless work ethic.  Combine that with great athleticism, we feel that Cole provides us with more strength at the goaltender position.” Staios said.

The Bulldogs will open their second season in the Ontario Hockey League Friday, September 23rd when they visit the Mississauga Steelheads. The home opener is slated for Saturday, September 24th against the Kingston Frontenacs at the FirstOntario Centre.
