Declan McDonnell commits to Rangers

Kitchener, ON – The Kitchener Rangers announced today that American forward Declan McDonnell has committed to an Ontario Hockey League standard player agreement with the Club.

The 17-year-old, was the third round, 57th overall pick by the Rangers in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection. During the 2018-19 season, the Lake View, New York native dressed for the Buffalo Junior Sabres where he registered 18 goals and 31 assists for 49 points in 54 games played.

“We are very excited to welcome Declan and his family to the Rangers. Declan is skilled, smart, has a great shot and his compete level is very high,” said general manager Mike McKenzie. “He has used these attributes to produce at every level and we look forward to continuing to see him do that in a Kitchener Rangers uniform.”
