DJ King commits to Bulldogs

Hamilton Bulldogs

Hamilton, ON – The Hamilton Bulldogs are pleased to announce they have received a commitment from defenceman DJ King.

The 18-year old native of Northport, NY, was the Bulldogs second round pick (39th overall) in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection. DJ spent his minor midget season with the Mississauga Rebels where he skated in 65 games, collecting 29 points.

“We are very excited to welcome DJ to the Bulldogs family,” said President and General Manager Steve Staios. “There is plenty of upside with this player. He brings leadership, toughness and the ability to transition the puck. Our fans will enjoy seeing DJ in black and gold this season.”

During the 2017-18 campaign King, 6’3, 221 lbs, played 35 games for the US National U-18 team as well as 22 games in the USHL.

DJ is also the son of former NHL’er Derek King.
