Ethan Burroughs commits to Attack

Owen Sound Attack

Owen Sound, ON – The Owen Sound Attack are proud to announce the signing of Ethan Burroughs to a Standard Player Agreement. A second round (29th overall) selection in the 2019 draft, Burroughs is a 5-foot-9 forward from Georgetown, Ontario.

Playing with the Halton Hurricanes in 2018-19, Burroughs scored 30 goals in 31 games while adding 19 assists. Attack Director of Player Development Sean LaFortune had praise for the young right winger: “Ethan is a high velocity shooter, plays a heavy game but relies on his skill and sense in the offensive zone.”

Attack General Manager Dale DeGray thinks highly of the 16-year-old: “He’s got one of the best shots of the ’03 class. This is a kid that is going to score a lot of goals in the OHL, and we were very happy he fell to us at the 29th pick.”

Burroughs joins first round selection Deni Goure as signed members of the 2019 Attack draft class.

Ethan is excited for the future: “I’m really looking forward to playing with a great group of guys and working with amazing coaches. I will bring an impactful two way game and will help the team get some goals.”

Burroughs will join the Attack this August at training camp.
