In The Game: Xavier Medina (Windsor Spitfires)

This goaltender’s got all the moves. Taking charge for the Windsor Spitfires at the Memorial eCup presented by Kia is netminder Xavier Medina!

We’ve seen him stand tall in net on a consistent basis – this time, we can’t wait to see what the 18-year-old puckstopper can do in front of the net. Medina squares off with fellow OHLer Ty Collins of the Mississauga Steelheads on Dec. 2 at 6:05 pm.

Medina rounded out his rookie season in Windsor with a 3.46 goals-against average and a .886 save percentage. A third round pick of the Spits at the 2018 OHL Priority Selection, the Detroit native posted an impressive 1.53 goals-against average and a .928 save percentage over 36 appearances for the Oakland Jr Grizzlies U18s in 2018-19 before suiting up in the OHL ranks.
