St. Catharines, ON – Niagara IceDogs General Manager Joey Burke announced Friday that 2018 fourth round selection Jake Uberti has signed with the team. The centreman, selected 72nd overall by the IceDogs in this years’ Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection, has committed to the club by signing his Standard Player Agreement.

General Manager Burke announced the signing earlier today:

“We are thrilled to be adding Jake to the IceDogs. He has been consistently impressive all year and will fit in perfectly with our fast skilled group. This is an exciting time in Niagara and Jake is a fantastic addition and we couldn’t be more excited to add him to the IceDogs family.”

The 6-foot centre had an outstanding season in minor midget as a member of the Mississauga Reps, of the GTHL. He showed off his offensive capabilities with 11  goals and 31 points over 33 games.

Uberti was named the Most Valuable Player at the OHL Gold Cup, where, as a member of Team GTHL Blue, he finished with four goals and five assists in just four games, helping lead them to a tournament championship. Uberti’s nine points led the tournament.
