Jordyn Ertel commits to Generals

Oshawa Generals

Oshawa, Ont. – The Oshawa Generals are excited to announce the commitment of 10th round pick in the 2021 OHL Priority Selection, Jordyn Ertel.

The Waterloo, Ont., joins the Generals during a very busy November, following the team’s first 3-in-3 weekend.

In his last season of hockey, Ertel played 25 games with the Waterloo Wolves U16 team, scoring nine goals and adding seven assists. He was also amongst one of the strongest showings at this year’s training camp in August.

“It’s a great opportunity and I’m so thankful for it, to join such a storied organization like the Generals,” Ertel said. “I can’t wait to get out there and get started.”

Ertel, who is the son of OHL alumnus Tyler Ertel (KIT, NB, WSR, 1987-92), made his OHL debut in Oshawa’s 4-3 overtime win over Kingston on Sunday.
