NICK CHENARD (OWEN SOUND ATTACK):
Owen Sound Attack rookie netminder Nick Chenard stopped all 20 shots that came his way for his first career OHL shutout as the Bears blanked the Wolves 4-0. Chenard’s first career road start couldn’t have gone any better as the 6-foot-4 goaltender improved to 2-2-0-1 on the season with a 2.42 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage. The Tecumseh, Ont. native was a sixth round pick of Owen Sound in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection. He spent last season with the Windsor Jr. Spitfires Midget AAA club.
KALEB LAWRENCE (OWEN SOUND ATTACK):
Owen Sound Attack rookie Kaleb Lawrence scored his first career OHL goal on Saturday in Sudbury as the Attack defeated the Wolves 4-0. Lawrence’s goal came with 3:23 let in the opening period as Carter Robertson and Daylon Groulx chipped in with assists. The 6-foot-5, 228Ib. Lawrence scored in his 14th game of the season. He was a second round pick of the Attack last spring from the Ontario Hockey Academy.
