ADAM SAMUELSSON (SUDBURY WOLVES):
Sudbury Wolves defender Adam Samuelsson scored his first OHL goal Friday night in a big 8-2 win over the visiting North Bay Battalion. The 19-year-old Rye, New York native scored late in the second period to lift his team up 6-1. After starting the season with the USHL’s Sioux City Musketeers, where he totaled five assists through 10 games, Samuelsson committed to the Wolves in November. He was selected in the fifth round of the 2016 OHL Priority Selection and went on to play his next two seasons with the USA National Development Program. He started the 2018-2019 with Boston College before joining the Musketeers and amassing nine points (1-8-9) in 33 games. Through 20 games with the Wolves, Samuelsson has collected six points (1-5-6). He’s the son of former long-time NHL defenceman and two-time Stanley Cup champion Ulf Samuelson.
