BRANDT CLARKE (BARRIE COLTS) – 1ST OHL GOAL
Rookie defenceman Brandt Clarke scored his first OHL goal in Barrie’s 5-0 shutout of the Oshawa Generals Thursday night. The 16-year-old Ottawa product found the back of the net midway through the third period for his team’s fifth and final goal. Clarke now owns 18 points through the first 36 games of his OHL career. Following a whopping 113-point season (35-78-113) with the Don Mills Flyers, Clarke was chosen fourth overall by the Colts at last year’s OHL Priority Selection.
ARTURS SILOVS (BARRIE COLTS) – 19 SVS IN 1ST OHL SHUTOUT
Arturs Silovs earned his first OHL shutout, stopping all 19 shots between the pipes for the Colts as they blanked the Generals 5-0. Silovs holds an .887 save percentage and 3.79 goals-against average through the first 23 games he’s suited up for this season. The 18-year-old Riga, Latvia native was picked up 11th overall by the Colts at last year’s CHL Import Draft, and was a sixth round draft pick of the Vancouver Canucks at the 2019 NHL Draft.
