Milestone Moments: November 15, 2019


Rookie blueliner Jacob Holmes scored the first goal of his OHL career on Friday as the Soo Greyhounds defeated visiting Hamilton 4-3. Holmes scored 12:32 into the first period on an assist from Tye Kartye, finding the scoresheet in his 17th game of the season. Holmes recently represented Team Canada Red at the 2019 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Medicine Hat, Alta. and Swift Current, Sask. The Alliston, Ont. native was Sault Ste. Marie’s first round (18th overall) pick in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection from the York-Simcoe Express Minor Midgets.
