Milestone Moments: October 10, 2018

Eric Uba‘s first OHL goal was the lone bright spot for the Flint Firebirds, who dropped a 4-1 decision in Sault Ste. Marie on Wednesday. Uba foiled Matthew Villalta’s shutout plans, tapping a loose puck over the goal line with 1:53 left in the third period as Firebirds captain Ty Dellandrea picked up an assist. The Kitchener, Ont. native scored in his 11th career contest. He appeared in four games with the club last year while spending much of the season between the OJHL’s Oakville Blades and Wellington Dukes. He was a ninth round pick of the Firebirds in 2016.
