JACK QUINN (OTTAWA 67’s):
Jack Quinn‘s first OHL goal was a dandy. The recently-turned 17-year-old turned a Hamilton Bulldogs defender inside-out before dekeing to the forehand on Nick Donofrio to open the scoring in a 4-3 Ottawa 67’s overtime win. Defencemen Merrick Rippon and Lucas Peric chipped in with assists on the milestone marker. A native of Cobden, Ont., Quinn was named CCHL Rookie of the Year with the Kanata Lasers last season, recording 46 points (21-25–46) over 49 games. He was Ottawa’s second round pick in 2017.
ZAYDE WISDOM (KINGSTON FRONTENACS):
Zayde Wisdom scooped up a loose puck on a broken play off the rush, snapping a shot inside the post past Mississauga’s Jacob Ingham for his first OHL goal. Wisdom’s goal was the lone Kingston marker in a 4-1 road loss to the Steelheads as Luke Drewitt gathered the lone assist. A member of the OHL Cup champion Toronto Jr. Canadiens, Wisdom was Kingston’s fourth round pick in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection.
