Monday Highlights: Sova’s four-point performance helps Otters snap 67’s’ streak

  • Trailing 4-1 after the first period, the Otters outscored the 67’s 5-0 in the second and third periods on the back of three power-play goals
  • Spencer Sova extended his point streak to nine games with a pair of goals to go along with two assists.
  • Kyle Downey came on in relief to begin the second period and stopped all 21 shots he faced to record the win.
  • The 67’s had some milestone moments in the contest as Ethan Quick scored his first career OHL goal and first round 2022 OHL Priority Selection choice Frankie Marrelli recorded his first points in the OHL with a pair of assists in the contest
  • The game was initially scheduled for Saturday, giving the Otters an 8-day break between games.
