OHL Mourns the Loss of Cliff Long


The Ontario Hockey League family is deeply saddened by the loss of former long-time Guelph Storm Eastern Ontario scout Cliff Long who passed away on Friday at the age of 75.

Cliff dedicated his life to his family and the game of hockey spending over 60 years in various arenas and he loved every minute of it. He was a fixture at Minor Midget games throughout Eastern Ontario and loved watching his grandchildren play.

He leaves behind a son, Jeff (Tammy) along with four grandchildren.

A memorial service will take place at Mackey Funeral Home in Lindsay on Saturday, September 21st from 2:00-4:00pm and a celebration of life will be held at The Locker, 14 Cameron Street West, Cannington, ON from 5:00pm-8:00pm.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Ross Memorial Hospital.
