OTTAWA 2, PETERBOROUGH 1 – SO
– Second round 2021 OHL Priority Selection choice Cooper Foster scored the shootout winner for Ottawa on a move to the backhand.
– Newly signed 67’s goaltender Collin MacKenzie stopped 18-of-18 before turning aside 2-of-3 in the shootout.
– Ottawa’s Cameron Tolnai and Peterborough’s Tucker Robertson exchanged first period goals.
– Peterborough’s Michael Simpson was also perfect in relief, stopping all 15 shots that came his way.
– Veteran defenceman Shawn Spearing wore the ‘C’ for the Petes in their pre-season debut.

BARRIE 4, OWEN SOUND 2
– San Jose Sharks prospect Ethan Cardwell led the way with two goals, including one shorthanded as Barrie doubled-up visiting Owen Sound 4-2. Cardwell had three points and was a plus-3 on the night.
Anthony Tabak scored the deciding goal 6:03 into the third period as the Colts outshot the Attack 50-30.
– Attack goaltender Mack Guzda made 46 saves in the loss opposite Barrie’s Matteo Lalama who earned the win in relief, stopping all 10 shots he faced.
