Spitfires’ McDonald added to Team Canada Red for 2018 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge


Hockey Canada announced Wednesday that Windsor Spitfires forward Kyle McDonald will compete for Team Canada Red at the 2018 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge set to take place from November 3-10 in Saint John and Qiuspamsis, NB.

McDonald will replace injured forward Logan Morrison (Hamilton Bulldogs) on the roster.

A 16-year-old Ottawa, Ont. native, McDonald has four points (2-2–4) through his first seven games of the season. The 6-foot-4, 186Ib. right-winger was Windsor’s second round (25th overall) pick in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection from the Ottawa Jr. Senators Midget AAA team.
