Austin McEneny Commits to Spitfires

Windsor Spitfires

WINDSOR, ONĀ – General Manager Warren Rychel has added depth to the club’s back-end with the signing of free agent Austin McEneny.

The Waterdown, Ontario native came to training camp on a tryout basis earlier this month and impressed with his skill set.

“Austin skates, sees the ice and moves the puck well, Rychel said. “He’s a right-handed shot that can help create offense. He was too good of a player to pass up.”

McEneny, 19, spent the 2015-16 season with the Quebec Remparts of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, posting two goals and nine assists in 48 games.
