Storm supports local Legion branches through Remembrance Day jersey auction

Guelph Storm

Guelph, ON – Back in November, the Guelph Storm donned special commemorative jerseys during their game against the Barrie Colts. The online auction brought in a total of more than $7,500. The Storm are now happy to announce that all three Guelph region Legions have benefited.

Guelph Legion – $3,000
Fergus Legion – $2,370.21
Elora Legion – $2,370.21

The one-of-a-kind jerseys commemorated Canadian veterans, with specific reference to Guelph’s own proud history honouring Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae.  Always remembered in his hometown of Guelph with the conversion of his family home into the McCrae House Museum, the Guelph Storm are honoured to recognize the local, national and worldwide legacy of Lieutenant John McCrae exactly one hundred years after his passing.
