NORTH BAY, Ont. – The North Bay Battalion of the Ontario Hockey League has an immediate opening for a certified athletic therapist-equipment manager.
Reporting to the general manager and head coach, the successful applicant will be responsible for the medical care and training of Battalion players as well as all equipment needs.
The successful applicant will have a degree or diploma in athletic therapy, experience with the strength and conditioning of athletes and experience in all aspects of equipment ordering, maintenance and inventory. The position will require attendance at all Battalion home and road games, practices and morning workouts.
The successful applicant will be responsible for planning the daily conditioning program for Battalion players as well as the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries. The successful applicant will also work with the club’s medical and dental staffs to coordinate external care for players and be responsible for recruiting, supervising and directing an assistant equipment manager and game-day dressing room staff as well as the care and maintenance of the club’s dressing room, fitness facility and players’ lounge.
