1ST STAR: QUINTON BYFIELD (SUDBURY WOLVES):
2018 first overall OHL Priority Selection choice Quinton Byfield lived up to his billing on Thursday, recording a career-high four points to lead the Sudbury Wolves to a seventh straight victory. Byfield’s two goals and two assists guided the Wolves past the rival Barrie Colts 6-3 on the road, pulling the 16-year-old into a tie for the OHL’s rookie scoring lead with 27 points (12-15–27) over 26 games. The 6-foot-5, 214Ib centreman from Newmarket, Ont. is riding a five-game point streak as the Wolves sit tied for first place atop the Central Division. The York-Simcoe Express graduate was named OMHA ETA Player of the Year last season. He will be eligible for the 2020 NHL Draft.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS

2ND STAR: JUSTIN BRAZEAU (NORTH BAY BATTALION):
Overage captain Justin Brazeau helped get his North Bay Battalion back in the win column on Thursday, guiding them past the visiting Kitchener Rangers 8-5 with two goals and an assist. Brazeau joined Daniel Walker and Brad Chenier as one of three Battalion players with two goals on the night. The 6-foot-6, 226Ib native of New Liskeard, Ont. has 56 points (28-28–56) over 32 games this season, recording at least a point in each of his last four games. The fourth-year veteran attended training camp with the San Jose Sharks this past September.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS

3RD STAR: JONATHAN YANTSIS (KITCHENER RANGERS):
Kitchener Rangers veteran Jonathan Yantsis potted his first career OHL hat-trick as his club came up short on the road in North Bay. Yantsis opened the scoring with a pair of goals before netting his 23rd of the season to complete the trio 5:23 into the second. The Rangers let a 5-3 lead slip away, but Yantsis’ first hat-trick gives him a team-leading 23 goals over 32 games this season. A free agent signing by the Rangers in 2017, Yantsis is a graduate of the Markham Waxers Midget AAA program.
