1ST STAR: JUSTIN BRAZEAU (NORTH BAY BATTALION):
Overage captain Justin Brazeau scored a natural quartet, leading the North Bay Battalion to a 5-4 home ice win over the Barrie Colts. The big winger scored a pair of goals in the latter half of the first period to draw the score even at two before taking on two more in the second, putting the Troops ahead 4-2. Brazeau’s first career four-goal game saw him score his 100th career marker in the process, bringing him to 34 in as many games this season. The 20-year-old native of New Liskeard, Ont. has points in six straight games and has had three straight multi-goal performances. Brazeau attended training camp with the San Jose Sharks this past September.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS

2ND STAR: LIAM HAWEL (GUELPH STORM):
Dallas Stars prospect Liam Hawel earned OHL Star of the Night recognition for the second time this weekend, recording two goals and two assists as the Guelph Storm took an 8-5 road win in Oshawa. The 6-foot-5, 182Ib centreman notched his fifth consecutive multi-point game while going 9-for-17 in the faceoff circle as the Storm finished the first half with three straight wins. The 19-year-old from Arnprior, Ont. has 37 points (17-20–37) over 31 games this season, with 13 of those coming in the past five. Hawel was Dallas’ fourth round pick in 2017.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS

3RD STAR: CONNOR McMICHAEL (LONDON KNIGHTS):
2019 NHL Draft prospect Connor McMichael of the London Knights racked up four points in a 5-3 win over the visiting Erie Otters on Sunday. McMichael scored twice and added two assists, getting in on four of London’s five goals to give him points in nine of his last 10 games. The 17-year-old sophomore from Ajax, Ont. has 38 points (22-16–38) over 31 games. The first round pick of the Hamilton Bulldogs in 2017 joined the Knights midway through last season. He was a ‘B’ rated prospect on NHL Central Scouting’s November ‘Players to Watch’ List and was recently named to the Sherwin-Williams CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game coming up in Red Deer, AB next month.
