1ST STAR: JACK QUINN (OTTAWA 67’S): 1G, 5A
NHL Draft eligible Jack Quinn put up a career-high six points, scoring his league-leading 44th goal and adding five helpers as the Ottawa 67’s rolled past the North Bay Battalion 9-1. The 18-year-old native of Cobden, Ont. scored at the 13:37 marker of the opening period to give the Barber Poles a 3-0 lead. Quinn now holds 75 points on the season, placing him seventh in the OHL scoring race. Quinn also recently took part in the 2020 Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game where he earned a goal for Team Red and was recognized as the team’s Player of the Game.
2ND STAR: DAVID LEVIN (SUDBURY WOLVES): 3G
Fifth year Sudbury Wolves forward David Levin earned his second career hat-trick in a 7-3 defeat of the Niagara IceDogs. The 20-year-old native of Tel Aviv netted his first of the night 21 seconds into the middle frame for a 4-1 lead before potting two in a row in the period’s final minutes to give his team the 7-2 advantage. Levin now owns 24 goals and 62 points through the first 47 games of his overage year. He was chosen by the Wolves with the first overall pick of the 2015 OHL Priority Selection.
3RD STAR: EVGENIY OKSENTYUK (FLINT FIREBIRDS): 2G, 2A
Evgeniy Oksentyuk put up two goals and two assists in his team’s 5-3 win over the Oshawa Generals. The 18-year-old winger opened the scoring 1:12 into the game and added an empty net insurance goal with 22 seconds left on the clock. Oksentyuk has 25 goals and 62 points through his first 46 OHL games. A native of Brest, Belarus, he was picked up fifth overall by the Firebirds at last year’s CHL Import Draft.
