1ST STAR: ARTHUR KALIYEV (HAMILTON BULLDOGS):
Top 2019 NHL Draft prospect Arthur Kaliyev led the Hamilton Bulldogs to victory on Saturday, netting the overtime winner for his second of the afternoon in a 4-3 win over the visiting Sarnia Sting. Kaliyev’s three-point day helped Hamilton earn a third straight win, keeping them within striking distance of the third place Peterborough Petes in the East Division. The 17-year-old from Staten Island, NY has 59 points (29-30–59) over 39 games this season including 11 power play goals and eight game winners. The 6-foot-2, 185Ib winger put together his third straight multi-point contest. Kaliyev was Hamilton’s second round pick in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection from the Compuware U16 program. He’s been named to the 2019 Sherwin-Williams CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game coming up later this month in Red Deer, Alta.

2ND STAR: ALBERT MICHNAC (SAGINAW SPIRIT):
Overage forward Albert Michnac put together his second multi-goal game of the season, scoring twice to lead the Saginaw Spirit past visiting Kitchener 5-2. Michnac was reunited on a line with former Mississauga Steelheads teammate Ryan McLeod as the Spirit earned their fifth straight win and ninth in the past 10 games. The 20-year-old Prague, Czech Rep. native has 37 points (12-25–37) in 38 games this season. Now in his third OHL season after spending campaigns with the Guelph Storm and Mississauga Steelheads, Michnac attended rookie camp with the Arizona Coyotes this past September.

3RD STAR: JACK WISMER (FLINT FIREBIRDS):
Jack Wismer converted off the forecheck for the eventual game winner 36 seconds into the second period as the Flint Firebirds defeated visiting Sudbury 5-1. Wismer would later set up Ethan Keppen in alone to give him a goal and an assist in Flint’s third win over the past six games. The 18-year-old Stoney Creek, Ont. product has 11 points (5-6–11) over 40 games this season. The Hamilton Bulldogs Minor Midget graduate was Flint’s second round pick in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection.
