1ST STAR: BLAKE MURRAY (SUDBURY WOLVES) – 1G, 2A
Carolina Hurricanes prospect Blake Murray scored and set up a pair as the Sudbury Wolves skated to their first win, defeating the Mississauga Steelheads 3-1 on the road. Murray centred for Shane Bulitka to open the scoring early in the first period, netted his first of the season on a second period power play and helped give the Wolves insurance when he fed Quinton Byfield off the rush in the third. The Uxbridge, Ont. native recorded 30 goals last season before being selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the sixth round of the 2019 NHL Draft.

2ND STAR: CHRISTIAN PURBOO (SUDBURY WOLVES) – 27 SV
Sudbury Wolves netminder Christian Purboo stopped 27 of the 28 shots he faced, rebounding from a rough first start with the Wolves to earn his first victory. The 19-year-old from Oakville, Ont. was recently acquired from the North Bay Battalion. He played to a 6-9-1-2 record with a 3.90 goals-against average and .897 save percentage in 23 games with the Battalion last season.

3RD STAR: OLE BJORGVIK-HOLM (MISSISSAUGA STEELHEADS) – 1A
Mississauga Steelheads defenceman Ole Bjorgvik-Holm earned his first career assist on a goal by Aidan Prueter, doing so in his second game of the season.
