Wednesday Highlights: Misa ties I-75 Divide Cup with first career OT winner


Saginaw Spirit 4, Flint Firebirds 3 – OT

  • Exceptional Status rookie Michael Misa scored his first career OHL overtime winner.
  • With the win in extra time, the Spirit moved to 5-1 in games decided in overtime this season.
  • Recording the primary assist on the overtime winner Pavel Mintyukov became the third player and first defencemen to reach 30 points this season.
  • The 36 saves set a new season-high for Spirit goaltender Tristan Lennox, his most saves in a victory since he made 38 against the London Knights on October 12th, 2019.
  • The win tied the I-75 Divide Cup series between the Spirit and Firebirds 1-1.

Mississauga Steelheads 2, Sarnia Sting 6

  • Sasha Pastujov scored twice for the Sting, he now has nine points in his first five games with Sarnia.
  • Three more assists for Maple Leafs prospect Ty Voit means he’s the first OHL skater to reach 40 on the season.
  • Mitch Young recorded his first career OHL point assisting on Marcus Limpar-Lantz’s opening goal.
  • Defenceman William Haley made his OHL debut for the Steelheads.

Owen Sound Attack 6, Windsor Spitfires 3

  • Colby Barlow continued his goal-scoring streak with his second hat trick of the season, he now has eight goals in his past five games.
  • Minnesota Wild prospect Servac Petrovsky collected the other half of the Attack goals, recording a hat trick of his own.
  • Deni Goure recorded his third four-point night on the season collecting four assists.
