OHL Announces Disciplinary Action
Game of Friday, January 31st, 2014 – Sarnia Sting at Guelph Storm
Toronto, ON – The Ontario Hockey League today announced the results of a review of an incident which took place in a game played in Guelph on the 31st of January, 2014, involving the Storm and the visiting Sarnia Sting Hockey Club.
The matter reviewed was that of allegations of a Sarnia Sting player violating the League’s Harassment and Abuse / Diversity Policy.
Based on such review, it is the position of the League that player Anthony DeAngelo of the Sarnia Sting Hockey Club did in fact make a most inappropriate statement to a teammate and shall be suspended for eight (8) games, dating from but not including the game of Friday, January 31st, 2014
