Making a 56-point improvement on his rookie totals, London Knights forward Connor McMichael quickly ascended his team’s depth chart while making an impression on NHL scouts this past season.
A former 11th overall OHL Priority Selection choice, McMichael finished his sophomore campaign with 36 goals, 36 assists and 72 points in green and gold, helping the Knights win a Midwest Division title.
NHL Central Scouting describes McMichael as “a very good offensive player with great hockey sense. He is a skilled forward with good vision, instincts and puck skills. McMichael is smart and patient with the puck yet quick enough to be able to take advantage of opportunities as they arise. His very smart offensive zone entries allow him to create quality chances for his teammates.”
McMichael enters the 2019 NHL Draft as the 24th ranked North American skater on NHL Central Scouting’s Final Draft Rankings.
