After two years of development since being a fifth round pick in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection, late 2000-born talent Hunter Jones took on a full workload with the Peterborough Petes, suiting up in 57 games this past season.

The 6-foot-4 native of Brantford, Ont. is a real competitor who recently attended Hockey Canada’s Program of Excellence Goaltending Camp in Calgary. Jones has represented Canada internationally in the past, earning a silver medal with Team Canada Black at the 2016 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

NHL Central Scouting describes Jones as a netminder possessing “excellent compete and work habits who is also very smart tracking pucks through traffic and at reading the cross ice one-time plays. He moves laterally with quickness and control and blends athleticism with excellent positional play.”

Jones enters the 2019 NHL Draft as the third-ranked North American goaltender on NHL Central Scouting’s Final Rankings.
