While he’s battled injuries over his two-year OHL career, Sarnia Sting forward Jamieson Rees continues to be an impact player when he’s in the lineup.
A former OHL Cup champion with the Mississauga Reps, the 5-foot-10, 171Ib Rees plays the game with an edge and is very strong on the puck despite his smaller frame. The Hamilton, Ont. has demonstrated an ability to make plays at high speed, making him an intriguing player to watch ahead of the 2019 NHL Draft.
NHL Central Scouting describes Rees as “an offensive catalyst for his team. He’s a highly skilled winger with natural offensive instincts and puck-on-a-string hands. He is a dangerous scoring threat when given time and space.”
Rees is the 30th ranked North American skater on NHL Central Scouting’s Final Draft Rankings.
