Flint Firebirds defenceman Vladislav Kolyachonok finished his first season in North America and demonstrated a solid two-way game paired with some encouraging offensive upside.

The Belarusian rearguard was given ample ice time on a young Flint blue line and made an impression as the season wore on. He finished up with 30 points (4-26–30) in 54 games.

NHL Central Scouting describes Kolyachonok as a “very smart player with efficient puck skills, is poised and patient with the puck and is able to make plays. He┬ásorts out options very well, is strong on his skates and is a very efficient skater with excellent mobility.”

Kolyachonok is the 31st ranked North American skater on NHL Central Scouting’s Final Draft Rankings.
