The Peterborough Petes exacted revenge on the Niagara IceDogs following a Saturday night loss in St. Catharines. The Petes took the back half of the home-and-home by a score of 8-4 as sophomore forward Pavel Gogolev (1, 2) led the way with two goals and two assists. Florida Panthers prospect Jonathan Ang (3) continued his strong start to the season with a goal and two assists while Adrien Beraldo (1), Adam Timleck (1), Tyler Rollo (2), Matt McNamara (1) and Bobby Dow (1) also lit the lamp. Up 4-1 early in the second period, the Petes surrendered three straight goals at the IceDogs came back to knot the score at four early in the third. The Petes powered back ahead with four unanswered to improve to 2-2-0-0 on the young season. Kirill Maksimov (3), Akil Thomas (3, 4) and Zach Shankar (1) provided Niagara goals in front of goaltender Colton Incze who made his season debut. Niagara sits at 3-1-0-0 to close out the weekend.
