Columbus Blue Jackets prospect Liam Foudy put an end to a wild back-and-forth contest between Western Conference rivals, scoring three minutes into overtime as the London Knights edged the visiting Sarnia Sting 7-6. Up 5-2, the Knights saw their lead evaporate as the Sting stormed back to eventually knot things at six. Foudy’s game winner came on a highlight reel effort with assists from Connor McMichael and Matthew Timms. 2019 NHL Draft prospect Connor McMichael (6, 7) scored twice and added an assist while rookie Antonio Stranges (2) had a goal and a helper. William Lochead (1), Cole Tymkin (4) and Josh Nelson (1) added London goals. Joseph Raaymakers got the win in goal for the Knights, notching the 80th of his OHL career. The Sting come away with a point in the overtime loss as Calvin Martin (2), Jacob Perreault (5), Franco Sproviero (2), Anthony Salinitri (4), Mitch Eliot (1) and Hugo Leufvenius (2) got onto the scoresheet. The two clubs combined for 15 power play opportunities as the Knights improved to 4-2-0-0 while Sarnia drops a fourth straight decision, falling to 3-3-1-0.
