Minnesota Wild prospect and newly named captain Damien Giroux (3, 4, 5) scored his first OHL hat-trick as the Saginaw Spirit earned a fourth straight win, defeating visiting North Bay 6-2. After falling behind 2-0, the Spirit responded with six unanswered as Bode Wilde (3), Blade Jenkins (2) and Albert Michnac (5) joined Giroux in the goal-scoring department. Giroux finished the night with three goals and two assists while Michnac had a goal and two helpers and Cole Coskey picked up three assists. Rhys Forhan (1) and Nick King (2) opened the scoring for the Troops as they were outshot 34-20. Saginaw improves to 5-2-1-0 while North Bay falls to 3-6-0-0.
