Veteran blueliner Justin Murray (2, 3) capped-off his first career multi-goal performance with the overtime winner as the Barrie Colts bested the visiting Niagara IceDogs 6-5. Sam Rhodes and Lucas Chiodo pitched in with assists on the winner 2:44 into the extra frame as the Colts avenged last weekend’s 7-2 loss to the IceDogs. Murray also had two assists in the win, giving him a career-high four-point showing. Joey Keane (3), Rhodes (3), Aidan Brown (1) and Peter Fleming (2) also scored for the Colts while defenceman Tyler Tucker had a pair of assists. Barrie was outshot 38-29 as goaltender Kai Edmonds picked up the win with 33 saves in goal. The IceDogs rallied from down 4-3 to start the third period, tying things up with 2:10 remaining on a goal by Kirill Maksimov (9). Billy Constantinou (2), Ian Martin (1), Kyen Sopa (5) and Mason Howard (1) also tallied for Niagara as the Dogs earned a point. Barrie improves to 5-4-1-0 on the campaign while Niagara Falls to 4-2-2-0.
