A pair of late empty netters helped the Soo Greyhounds skate past visiting Saginaw 6-3 as Morgan Frost (6) finished the night with a goal and three assists. The Hounds climbed out 4-0 on goals from Ryan Roth (2), Cole MacKay (5), Mac Hollowell (3) and Keeghan Howdeshell (4) before the Spirit got on the board six minutes into the third. Barrett Hayton (4) also scored for the Hounds while Cullen McLean picked up a pair of assists. Matthew Villalta made 33 saves to earn his 70th career win in goal as the Hounds were outshot 36-28. Albert Michnac (6) extended his point streak to a league-leading 10 games with a goal while Cole Perfetti (5) and DJ Busdeker (2) also found the scoresheet. Saginaw sees a five-game winning streak snapped, falling to 6-3-1-0 while the Greyhounds improve to 6-3-2-0.
