St. Louis Blues prospect Jordan Kyrou (2) scored in the fourth round of a shootout to give the Sarnia Sting a 6-5 win in Owen Sound. The Sting surge to their third straight win as Kyrou had a goal and an assist and Calgary Flames prospect Adam Ruzicka (3, 4) found the back of the net twice and picked up an assist. Sarnia jumped out to a 3-1 lead as Brady Hinz (3) joined Ruzicka and Kyrou on the scoresheet. Jordan Ernst (5) scored late in the second before Ruzicka’s second of the night came on the power play 8:13 into the third period. Nick Suzuki (2, 3), Maksim Sushko (2) and Zachary Roberts (2) all scored for the Attack before Matthew Struthers (3) knotted the game at five at 8:59 of the third period. Sarnia’s Justin Fazio made 39 saves on the night and stopped all four shootout opponents he faced as the Sting improved to 4-1-0-0 on the campaign. Owen Sound’s Nick Suzuki earned first star honours with two goals and an assist as the Bears now sit at 2-0-0-2. Rookie netminder Mack Guzda made 26 saves in his OHL debut.
