A former Memorial Cup-winning coach, Derek Laxdal returns to the junior ranks after three years as an assistant with the Dallas Stars, taking the reins of an Oshawa Generals squad with no shortage of size in the lineup. Workhorse Patrick Leaver is back in the crease, backstopping a team with a core of returning veterans that is also in the process of developing some younger talent coming up through the ranks.
