The 3rd annual OHL Alumni Association Golf Tournament raised more than $12,000 for the Bryan and Amanda Bickell Foundation.
A three-time Stanley Cup champion from Bomanville, Ont., Bickell played four OHL seasons between Ottawa and Windsor from 2002-06 before embarking on an 11-year professional career that was cut short after the 6-foot-4, 223Ib. winger was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
The foundation provides fully trained service dogs to individuals living with MS.
In three years the OHL Alumni Association Golf Classic has generated more than $30,000 to worthy causes such as the Bryan and Amanda Bickell Foundation, the Gudranson Stem Cell Research Grant in 2017, and the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in 2016.
