The OHL’s holistic approach to player development allows it to produce great hockey players as well as well-rounded young men. The League and its member teams strive to develop the whole person through education, awareness and community involvement.

Former Mississauga Steelheads and Owen Sound Attack forward Bryson Cianfrone (2013-16) walks through his development as both a player and person throughout his time in the OHL. Cianfrone now attends St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia where he is part of the men’s hockey program.
