The Soo Greyhounds got a pair of goals and an assist from sophomore forward Cole MacKay (1, 2) to help them defeat the London Knights 5-3 on the road. Keeghan Howdeshell (1, 2) also scored twice while Joe Carroll (1) provided the game winner to break open a 3-3 tie with 4:20 left in the third period. Ryan Roth and Jordan Sambrook each picked up two assists while goaltender Matthew Villalta was a difference-maker with 31 saves. Rookie defender Ryan O’Rourke notched an assist to earn first star honours is in the win. Among the highlights for London was rookie Antonio Stranges’ (1) first OHL goal while Cole Tymkin (2) and Connor McMichael (3) also scored. Chicago Blackhawks first round pick Adam Boqvist made his OHL debut on the London blue line while Liam Foudy was held off the scoresheet in his return from the Columbus Blue Jackets.
